Peptides AI ("we", "our", "the app") keeps your research data on your device and in your own iCloud. This policy explains exactly what the app stores, what leaves your device, who receives it, and the choices you have.
1. Data stored on your device
The following is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework:
- Your peptide stack (names, amounts, schedules, reconstitution dates, vial details)
- Your dose log (timestamps, injection sites, notes)
- Symptom check-ins, weight entries and progress photos
- Your calculator history and defaults
- Your onboarding answers (goals, experience level, selected peptides, display name)
- App preferences (appearance, units, reminders)
2. iCloud sync
iCloud Sync is on by default when your device is signed in to iCloud, so your data survives reinstalling the app and follows you to your other devices. The data above is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest. We cannot read it. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time in Settings; your data then stays on the device.
3. Apple Health
If you turn on "Sync Weight with Apple Health" and grant permission, the app reads your body-weight entries from Apple Health and writes weights you log in the app back to it. This data is stored on your device (and in your iCloud if sync is on). It is never sent to us, never included in analytics, and never used for advertising.
4. Usage analytics
To understand how the app is used and to find bugs, the app sends usage data to PostHog, our analytics provider (servers in the United States):
- Events such as screens and features used, onboarding steps completed, reminders opened, and whether a purchase started or completed
- The category or encyclopedia name of compounds you add to your stack or look up (never your amounts, notes, symptoms, weights or logs)
- Anonymized session recordings of how you move through the app. Text you type and all images, including progress photos, are masked. Other text shown on screen, such as compound names and numbers the app displays, may be visible in a recording.
- Crash and error reports, and device information such as model, iOS version and app version
This data is linked to a random identifier created by the app, not to your name, email or Apple ID. From version 1.2.5 you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Health & Data → Share Usage Analytics; the app then stops sending analytics, recordings and crash reports from that device. Versions before 1.2.5 also sent the name and severity of symptoms you log.
5. AI assistant
The assistant is optional. When you use it, the messages in that conversation (up to the last 20) are sent through our server to Anthropic, which generates the reply. We do not store assistant conversations. Anthropic processes them under its commercial API terms. Avoid including personal details you don't want to share. Other features, including coaching suggestions and the encyclopedia, run entirely on your device.
6. Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple and by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives:
- An anonymous app-generated user ID
- The Apple transaction receipt
- Your subscription status and entitlements
- Your country/region (from the App Store)
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, health data or stack contents. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
7. Notifications
Dose and vial reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. Notification content is not sent to our servers.
8. What we don't do
- We don't show ads or use advertising identifiers (IDFA).
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't collect your location.
- We don't sell or rent your data.
9. Your choices
You can, at any time:
- Turn off usage analytics in Settings → Health & Data (version 1.2.5 and later).
- Export your data as CSV files from Settings.
- Delete all app data from Settings → Reset All Data.
- Turn off iCloud Sync in Settings, and remove the iCloud copy in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
- Delete the app to remove all local data.
- Email [email protected] to ask about your data or request deletion of analytics data linked to your device.
10. Children
Peptides AI is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
11. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app.
